Rebecca C. "Caye" Cook - 2024

Caye Cook (Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture 1975, Master of Science in Agricultural and Extension Education 1979) discovered her interest in the outdoors during her teenage years as she designed a Japanese garden with her father, which ultimately led her to MSU, along with her twin brother, Steve, to pursue a degree in landscape architecture.

Upon graduation, Cook worked for the MSU Extension Service where she designed parks for small communities and contributed to land use studies using Landsat data.

Seeking a deeper understanding of her faith, she earned a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary while working at a multi-disciplinary design firm.

In 1993, she founded Caye Cook & Associates, which later became CCA Landscape Architects, Inc. Under her leadership, the firm has focused on public projects, which include parks, education and healthcare facilities, streetscapes, and light rail stations. Her designs emphasize native plants and healthy soils in public spaces.

Cook established a scholarship for landscape architecture students in honor of her parents, Leland and Mary Agnes Cook, who instilled their values of faith, love, generosity, service, and education. Cook resides in Dallas, Texas.
