Rodney L. Moore - 2024

Rodney L. Moore (Bachelor of Science in Animal Science 1972, Master of Science in Animal Nutrition 1974) has built a distinguished career in animal genetics. His graduate research, focusing on beef cattle nutrition and genetics, was published and presented at the Southeast American Society of Animal Science Convention.

This foundation propelled him into a successful 25-year career in the livestock industry, during which he held leadership roles at Curtiss Breeding Service and ABS Global, ultimately serving as district and southeast regional manager. He was then a registered angus cattle consultant, working with cattle operations across Georgia for 12 years. He also served as president of Atlanta-based Express Employment Professionals, an employment recruitment business. Under his leadership, the company received numerous awards.

Since 2005, the Rodney Moore family has supported university initiatives including the Leo Seal Jr. Football Complex, Dudy Noble Field, the Animal and Dairy Sciences Livestock Judging Pavilion, and Animal and Dairy Sciences' student scholarships.

Moore and his wife, Yvonne, reside in Greensboro, Georgia, and have two children and two grandchildren.
