Brenton G. Bailey - 2024
Brent Bailey (Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering Technology and Business 1994) has dedicated his career to advancing energy policy, sustainability, and infrastructure development.
He serves as vice president of Efficient Power & Light Advisors. He works closely with corporate leadership in expanding the company and reaching new market sectors. EPL Advisors focus on supporting entities engaged in increasing Mississippi's clean energy sector, expanding high-voltage transmission infrastructure, and promoting sustainable business practices.
Bailey was elected Public Service commissioner for Mississippi's Central District in 2020 and served until 2024. He served on regional and national committees focused on nuclear issues, transmission infrastructure, energy emission reduction, and electric vehicles. He published over 200 weekly newsletters that covered key consumer issues.
Before public service, Bailey worked extensively with agriculture, forestry, and rural communities to advocate for clean energy policies that benefit both the environment and the economy. He championed regulatory reforms that protected producers while promoting conservation programs to reduce environmental impact.
Bailey and his wife, Rhonda, have lived in Madison County for 23 years.
